The Twilio Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic engagement into enterprise and public sector organisations. With a strong foundation of warm leads and an established sales pipeline, this role focuses on accelerating deal closure, deepening relationships, and uncovering new opportunities across government agencies. The ideal candidate combines business development expertise, Twilio product knowledge, and public sector acumen to deliver tailored communication solutions that drive digital transformation.
· Engage with warm leads and nurture active opportunities through the full sales cycle — from discovery to close.
· Qualify and prioritise leads in the pipeline to maximise conversion and revenue impact.
· Accurately forecast deals and maintain CRM hygiene to support sales reporting and visibility.
· Build strategic relationships within government departments, agencies, and procurement stakeholders.
· Navigate complex sales cycles, including government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
· Develop proposals, tenders, and quotes aligned with Twilio solutions and public sector needs.
· Position Twilio’s Communications Platform (SMS, Voice, Email, WhatsApp, Flex, etc.) as transformative for client engagement, contact centres, and digital services.
· Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Product teams to ensure proposals meet technical and functional requirements.
· Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Partners to drive joint campaigns and educational events targeted at the public sector.
· Represent the company at industry forums, webinars, and government tech summits to build presence and credibility.
· Report sales performance against KPIs and identify blockers to deal progression.
· Share feedback from customer interactions to inform product development and messaging.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, ICT, or a related field and/or
· Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Twilio, Salesforce) are advantageous.
· Strong knowledge of Twilio products or equivalent CPaaS platforms.
· Successful Telco sales background
· 5+ years in B2B or SaaS sales, with at least 2 years focused on public sector or government clients.
· Proven success in selling cloud communications or contact centre solutions (Twilio, AWS, Genesys, NICE, etc.).
· Experience responding to tenders, RFPs, and navigating government procurement frameworks.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Self-starter with strong organisation, time management, and follow-through.
· Skilled in using LinkedIn, email sequences, and outbound call strategies.
· Analytical mindset for tracking KPIs and drawing insights from sales data.
· Strategic thinker with a hunter mindset.
· Politically savvy and able to navigate complex organisational structures.
· Customer-first approach with a strong sense of integrity and purpose.
